Hey up first post been reading the many posts but cant find this ones answer.
I have an R1150 GS 2000, single spark.
Got a few minor niggles that I am looking at with surge and running rich and not what I would call popping at tempreture more backfire but I have found through the posts what to look at for those problems.
This one though is simple the clock on the RID sets to Zero when you turn the engine off, you turn it back on and the clock comes on at 00.00 then basically counts the mins that the engine is running then back to 00.00 when you turn off.
The only thing that has been done to the bike was it went to get the surges looked at by the local BMW dealer who balanced the carbs and said it was not any worse than other 1150's he had ridden and when I picked it up I assumed he had disconected the battery ie the clock was at 00.00.
Any ideas as to what this could be?
