Need to lower my 1150 GS Adventure a wee bit as I am shorter in the leg than some.

I have a lower Sergeant seat, and was wondering about changing to 1150GS standard suspension as opposed to the GSA suspension.

How much lower would this make the bike, and are there any issues (other than shortening the centre stand, or using a GS centre stand instead of the GSA one) ?

Many thanks for all replies.

I went the other way, GS to GSA shocks.
Just changed the centre stand on mine and fitted a camel toe on the side stand. So going the other way, should be straight forward for you.

Height raised by @20mm so expect yours to drop similarly.

I went the other way, the side stand will keep the bike upright, always swap with s? I have a gs centre stand if you want to swap for a gsa one?

I've got a 2003 GS which I'd love to convert to a GSA, (I have a GSA in Istanbul), so if you're interested in a swapping exercise - stands, shocks etc., PM me! :)
