Hi,

Can anyone please tell me what the differences are between a normal 1150 GS Adventure and a SE?

Also how can I tell a bike is a genuine SE?

Thanks very much :beerjug:

Nothing apart from the colour scheme

Exactly the same bikes

SE came standard in blue/white, with silver engine, servo ABS, heated grips, crashbars,30 litre tank etc

Factory fogs & alloy luggage were extra

Thanks for the replies. :beerjug:

So is the only way to be sure if it's a genuine SE is get a BMW dealer to check on the registration/chassis numbers?

If you send a V5 back to the DVLC with a request to change details, they will do it. (My original silver GSA is now described as 'Red' on the V5, and indeed, it IS red)

I would suggest therefore that looking on the logbook to see if it says 'blue/white' is utterly and completely pointless.......
The only way of showing if it IS an R1150GSA SE is to have a copy of the original sales invoice.

It doesn't matter really anyway ffs....it's only a coat of fucking paint and a couple of stickers :blast

SE's are probably the most successful BMW parts bin, primer painted, end of line specials, easily recognised by listening to its rider who will always tell you how great they are and about how much money they are worth:blast:thumb

Pretty sure it's a dead heat with the R100GS PD... :P

He's right you , I was offered £6000 last week and I almost accepted it until I realised how good it was ...... :D

By the way , on the log book it says ......

VARIANT ... 0441

VERSION ..... A

I can't see SE any where .....
