Hi,
Can anyone please tell me what the differences are between a normal 1150 GS Adventure and a SE?
Also how can I tell a bike is a genuine SE?

Nothing apart from the colour scheme
Exactly the same bikes
SE came standard in blue/white, with silver engine, servo ABS, heated grips, crashbars,30 litre tank etc
Factory fogs & alloy luggage were extra

the white paint should be a Satin finish too

So is the only way to be sure if it's a genuine SE is get a BMW dealer to check on the registration/chassis numbers?

If you send a V5 back to the DVLC with a request to change details, they will do it. (My original silver GSA is now described as 'Red' on the V5, and indeed, it IS red)
I would suggest therefore that looking on the logbook to see if it says 'blue/white' is utterly and completely pointless.......
The only way of showing if it IS an R1150GSA SE is to have a copy of the original sales invoice.
It doesn't matter really anyway ffs....it's only a coat of fucking paint and a couple of stickers

He's right you , I was offered £6000 last week and I almost accepted it until I realised how good it was ......
