Hi there- I've got a question for any of you r1150gs adventure riders
out there-hope you can help me with this one. i bought my adventure
without crashbars and bashplate, and found a secondhand set later.
I ordered a mounting set, which consisted of a bracket/rubbers for the front
of the bashplate-no problems there, but how do you fix it at the back?
The back screw holes seem to line up under holes in the sump, but no
rubbers were provided, so do i just use a couple of m6 bolts(i thought that
the bash plate should be fully rubber mounted)?. There are two brackets
on the bottom of the centre stand mountings with m8 threads in them
just screaming for something to be screwed into them, but they don't
line up with the holes in the bash plate, so they're probably for something else.
Obvious answer would be to go and look at another adventure, except that
i can't find any in my neck of the woods.
All tips greatly appreciated, especially that one photo of the back mounting
of the bash plate that i can't find anywhere on the internet!: thanks, stef
