R1150GS extras required

So not going do much tot he 1150 got yesterday bar 1 or 2 protective bits

are these steering stops from TT worht while? i plan do some more trail riding and this seems be only extra i think will need

sump plate is alu on bike but very light so will make on up in work.

abs guard ill make also myself.

panniers will be supplied by Heavyduties as seen below for 380 delivered for full system delivered tot he door

have a remus full system alreay on the bike. so really anything watch for or anything worth upgrading as part of course? wont be buying much more ideas so can make them up myself

also, is it possibel to get that link posted where forum member had good steps to repainting the eng and alternator cover.

speaking of covers, i am sure alternator cover easily removed without any oil etc leaking. 1 has to be sure when ripping parts off bike.

also best place for SS bolt kits?

Not to make any advertise on theire side, but there are a lot of happy local and countrywise customers that bought theire products and IMHO it's a very good product considering the alternatives

John - I'd recommend you do some trail riding on the GS before you start spending cash on hard parts etc. You might find the money better spent on a DRZ400 or something.

Done a few trails on the GS and currently putting the cash together for a smaller, lighter, trial bike.

As for what parts I found the best to add to my 1100: Ohlins, MRA screen, Sargent seat, Verns panniers, GSA 30L tank, HID headlight upgrade. None of them that cheap. Didn't bother with a hard part. When I have the cash I might put a set of Steptoes headguards on (if he's still selling them).

well initally needs to have to be cleaned up a bit.

shocks seem to be fine actually so not going upgrade them yet. have screene xtender. reason went for gs or adv was smaller tank to keeo weight down but will see if can pick one up cheap anyway.
