I need to replace my rear right indicator (lens and body 🙄).

I'm struggling to locate a second hand unit.

OE units are on the spendy side. Are there any pattern parts worth considering?

Thanks.

Last time I looked earlier this year it was either OEM or Chinese market suppliers... The difference between LH and RH is the breather hole and that seems to be it... Whatever they're all fairly brittle shite...

I'd be interested in upgrading the whole set if that was an option!
I'm holding out for Hammer LEDs to do a kit for the 11XX - I can't afford to keep replacing the o/e rubbish. They seem to be working on it...
I'd be interested in taking that route and replacing the lot.

I've signed up to be notified when they've been developed. I reckon they'll develop them sooner if there's lots of interest! 😉

Are these any good ?

I had a set of the arrow/ stop indicators on my Hexhead , they were the business :)

The look for a front left instead :)

Front left & Rear Right

Front Right & Rear Left

Same thing but a seller may not know :D

Plus stay with Incandescent bulbs LEDs are a pain in the hole!

Wiring in additional resistors to make the fecking things work

Some balloon wired in an additional resistor on a bike I was fixing !!

The Horning ones were plug and play on the hexhead, I think they had the resistor built into the circuit board

i never had an issue with them on the GS

There's supposedly a mod you can do to the indicator relay to use LED indicators/bulbs without requiring additional resistors. I looked at this when considering fitting 1200-style LED indicators to my 1150 but decided in the end I couldn't be bothered. Anyway, here's the thread:

I haven't tried this so I'm not endorsing the approach - cut PCB tracks at your own risk!

Pricey...😳
I think they're cheaper than replacing with OE.

It looks like you get two indicators for the advertised price. With delivery from Germany the price comes to ~£77.

Replacement units from Motorworks are £41 each + postage. I'm not sure they're even OE...

100% Have you seen the price of the indicator units ??

It's simple Its an older bike with older things, If you want More modern Sparkley Farkley Gadgety? Go buy one of those !

The beauty about these old bikes is that they will go on and on!! After the Holocost as Long as the ECU works and you can get fuel Its going to keep going!

AS Long as you don;t fuck about with them too Much !! The only real mods I would make are additional LEDs (singular red ones with two wires) at the tail end I used 4 Red 12v LEDs and coupled 2 them with the brake lamps and 2 of them with the Side maps Easily replaced with another dab of hot glue and a dab of Solder

and of course Additional front lights Triggered by a switch and the Sidelamp circuit and fused at the power source

AND sort the Headlamp wiring !! If I recall it is not fused and can lead to disastrous melts if messed with!

I got a couple of these as spares. They look like the originals, though they are in one piece. Seem no worse quality wise than the originals.

Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out!

For what it's worth, you might consider either dipping the lens in hot water for a couple of minutes (or warm it via a hair dryer) because I found that re-fitting the lenses is likely to crack the plastic as you fit them into place (I cracked one that was OEM and expensive). Heating puts a necessary liability into the lens.

PLUS, if replacing a bulb then you will have to grind-off one of the standard retaining pins because the OEM housing has an error in the moulding (at least, on my 1150GS) that only accepts a single one of the retaining pins.
