Wow, that’s very nice. These aren’t an easy bike to restore. Top marksMy 23 year old GS owned by me since Feb 2000 and in the process of getting a makeover. Many other bikes have been and gone but the old girl's still with me.

Bike did very well on a run from Santiago, Chile to Bogota in Colombia via Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. Couple of issues with heat and crap fuel (not using the standard chip was a mistake maybe) and a slightly leaky oil pressure sensor. After 8500 miles now back home, serviced and ready for the next one.![]()

I wonder what the record is for non servoectomy... You must be up there...First registered 1st of May 2004, bought by me in August 2004 with 996 miles. Now showing 113,402, other bikes have come and gone.
This was written off in 2012, bought it back, Steptoe straightened the rear sub frame, still going strong... blip a few days ago with the servo assisted ABS but all OK now.
