Hi All,

Firstly, I've already searched the forum for GSA battery advice, and read the threads involved - so apologies to the hardcore GSERS for repeating the question. :bounce1

I bought my dream bike last week - 04 R1150 GS Adventure (Black, twin spark, ABS, servo) :JB. Its an absolute beaut. The only problem is, the battery won't hold its charge. I did 70 miles on Thursday when I collected it and 40 miles on Sunday for a spin, and when I went to start it on Monday, it was dead. Either the battery is knackered, or the alarm is draining it.

I need a new battery, but BMW North Oxford are looking for £128 + fitting. Any advice as to which battery I should get or how much it will cost is much welcome. The other threads I've read talk about buying different size batteries and "packing them out" and all sorts. I'm just looking for one that won't cost an arm and a leg, and fits in the battery slot under my tank. Minimal work please.

Advice on what to do with the alarm also welcome. I'm tempted to disconnect the damn thing. Do I really need an alarm???

Thanks in advance lads.:thumb

When I had my 1150GSA I got a new battery which was designed to go in a Caterham 7 I think but slotted straight in.

Never let me down.

Think it was about £70 tops.

Proff was the guy who put me onto it I think.
