How much difference does the pipe make, have you taken the baffle out ? Please let us know how the Rallye fairing compares to the original when it arrives
I’ve not fitted the Akrapovic yet , the baffle is not removable (or at least not without drilling out pop rivets , removing the carbon fibre end piece and the drilling out spot welds) so I’ll be leaving it as is

Went to the ABR looking forward to seeing the DR-Z and F450GS (no show) but it was the the 12G/S that I really liked.
Be interested in hearing feedback re the suspension..really liked my R9T Urban and this seems like it’s big brother

I liked everything about the Urban except the suspension hence hoping the G/S won’t need the same post purchase upgrades
Foolishly ime going to.test ride a 12 G/S on Thursday.
I feel the same. My Urban is great and I can’t see this new one being 3 times better.

Not for me looks wise, it’s too contrived.
You can get a good Urban for £6k and I don’t see this new one being 3 times better in any area.

ah - that makes sense. Similar experience…
1.Suspension for starters
2.It has Mudguards front and rear
3.off-road spec & 21/18 wheels
All those are massive improvements over the Urban
Most people change the suspension and it’s hardly an off road machine so the 21” front wheel is irrelevant.
The first gen R9T was an analogue retro bike, the new one has modes/cruise/shift assist/TFT/wonder wheel etc which makes it closer to the GS but not as capable.
