R1200 GS Adventurer

Ladies & Gentlemen - Bit of an Odd one. 2006 GSA Battery left on BMW trickle Charger when she's not taking me on daily short trips to work and back. 3 days after a long run, had forgotton to plug in trickle charger.... After the 3rd splutter, she started.... Just... rest of day.... played up.

Is it time for a new battery? I take it they are not covered under BMW Waranty? What do people recommend, new BMW? Another make?

( Or do I go buy myself a fully spec'ed BMW R1200GSA with all the toys ; -)

Why do people call it "Adventurer"

In all the marketing literature it is called a GS Adventure ... why the extra R?

It's R 1200 GS Adventure .. not 1200 GS AdventureR

AS for your battery question.

2006 bike .. hopefully still have BMW warranty on it.

Call out the BMW assist technican. He can test it for you. Replace as part of warranty if required.

Depends on the good will from your dealer but peeps on here have had theirs replaced succesfuly.

What do people recommend, new BMW? Another make?

Run a search on batteries / charging / odessey, make a cup of tea, sit back and have a good read.
