R1200 GSA 90 Anniversary

They go faster with a Yellow Givi but that style and colour combo is exclusive to me so no copying...

You're welcome to it Wreford, I'll happily keep my slower OEM boxes. Did you steal that from an AA patrol bike??

Today I collected a BRAND NEW 90th Anniversary GSA.

Sold my LC and went back to what I Like

Hi, were you at Box Hill Saturday afternoon? Saw a 90 with Bahnstormer logo on the plate, Alan

Today I collected a BRAND NEW 90th Anniversary GSA.

Bahnstormer managed to find me a new one in Germany.

I'm actually surprised that all the LC owners have not sold up and stepped back to a late twin-cam. I have a 2013 triple black GSA and there's no way I'd upgrade.

I regularly hear it said, both referring to the LCs and to the 1600 6 cylinder models "it's a superb bike with a horrible gearbox"

I'm sorry, but if it has a rubbish gearbox then it's a rubbish bike in my book. How about a nice gearbox with a rubbish engine? Or a great engine and gearbox and square wheels?

It all works or nothing works and as far as I am concerned , on my Twin cam it all works.

Aren't we lucky?

I have now spent two days riding it - only done 300 miles but all back roads running it in.

I am so, so glad I got rid of the LC (both GS and GSA) and hot this bike.

Gearbox just so smooth, I can ride without earplugs. The LC just made such a noise!!!

Screen is not flopping all over the place.

To be fair not as perky and a bit more vibby but

I am just really, really happy I got this bike

You're assuming that EVERY LC has problems.

after reading this thread I told one of my customers to get in touch with barnstormers and see if they can get him an airhead !!!!

My 2013 GSA was in for it's 6.5k service (OK so I was 2k over..) a week ago and I had a new water cooled GSA for the day. Yes it's quicker ultimately but only in a straight line and I didn't care for the cockpit with just too much to fiddle with nor the uber wide top tank section. As for the switchgear..

Was pleased to get back on mine and laughed out loud at the figures to change- no way it's worth more money to me, but one day we'll have worn ours out and there'll be no choice but for the foreseeable I'm not changing mine.

Oh and welcome back by the way.. Nice ride.

Good lad , top choice, i have 3 Bmw bikes, nine t , hp2 sport , and 90 anniversary, was out on the gsa today and it is my first choice. Better to have the end product than the guinea pig for the new ones. as they say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. ENJOY.
How are you liking the nine t?

I agree the last of the Twin Cam GSA's are the best of that series . Trouble was after trying a WC GSA it seemed how can I say , restricted and a bit, well agricultural. Not a bad thing but I guess I "got" the new GSA . Enjoy that Lovely 90 YR GSA , but I feel the new one raises the Bar in every way:thumby:

Raises the bar? Would that be the bar that stops the Cam chain falling into the gearbox???? :D

I had a new WC GSA so know exactly what it is like.

More power yes
Heavier
Horrible noise from the air vents that makes the ride unbearable
Screen that flops all over the place
Noisy engine that rattles like hell.

I think BMW have missed an opportunity with the new LC model.

Did the dealer PX the WC against the TC? I agree with all the above by the way . I find I fit it better I guess .

Once it's run in, get it Hilltop remapped or fit a Power Commander with rolling road setup and it's a different bike again.
I've Just put a PC on my 2008 GSA. Why the feck did I ignore everyone who told me to get it done sooner.
It's better in just about every way and as the throttle control is better even gear shifts are sweet.

That is my intention - Hilltop remap when I come back from Croatia - mid September
