R1200c

i just KNOW i'm going to get stick for this!

well, i like them.
BUT....
it needs more poke - its ridiculously underpowered - stick an engine out of...say an R1100s in it?:D
too much shiny shiny! less chrome please.
less handlebars too - the standard ones, they're just too much. literally.
lastly - a decent pillion seat as standard.
THEN it might sell to tourers/cruisers that actually clock up miles.

maybe when they're older and cheaper - i'll buy one...
maybe.:)
Og.
bear in mind i love the Guzzi California - this may explain a lot :D :D :D

Well I've never ridden one, but I reckon they look pretty cool!
They're so different to the usual harley clone that all the others churn out!
The touring version they brought out however, out looks utter poop!

what do you lot think of the 1200c cruser thing?
The one they don't build any more?

You want my honest opinion?

Seriously, it is neither one thing nor the other. I loathe it.

I rode a 1200 CL (think it's aC with lots of fairing stuck on to it)last year and it was a strange sensation, especially at roundabouts, I just wasn't sure how far it would lean before something would make contact with the road. Interesting looking machine but not for me.

Thanx guys
it was just a weired idea i had. It looks as if you can only get one shoe in each of the panniers for it to.

Ill stay with my R1100GS at least i can throw a wench across the back of it. :D :eyebrow :grndevil

I was lent one of these for day by a colleague. He went on his other bike (998...) Good for laid back, gentle cruising in warm, sunny conditions in mainly straight lines. Takes curves OK, handles reliably, stops eventually, but then you probably didn't get to go that fast in the first place... I caught him up when he's stopped to talk to a local policeman...

Totally different from the GS experience, so it depends on what you are after. If it was my money I'd never buy one as it just not my prefered style, but great fun for that relaxed, laid back cruise in places where there is no traffic...

1200 Cruiser

An Article in this month's BMW Journal has a Lady from the Winchester area having done a trip to Morrocco on a 1200 Cruiser, she has said the bike performed very well and that she would look forward to repeating the Trip sometime in the future.
Again it's all down to whatever float's your boat ain't it.
