R1200GS Alternator repair

Does anyone know where i can get a second hand alternator or spares for a rebuild mine has seized solid.

depending on the damage there are a load of specialists who can rebuild it for you, Bosch in particular have agents' who cover car and m/c devices, worst case if you need another they may then give you a good price on a new or refurb item, this is the way I went on a previous bike, so if you can remove and fit, then you can avoid the dealer and whats likely to be a costly job

There may be two different manufacturers supplying alternators so make sure you now what you have. This might have only been on the earlier bikes though but best to check. There is a post from a couple of weeks ago about it if you care to have a search.
