Hi

I'm looking at getting a Sargent seat for my R1200GS LC (lowered suspension version), but am unsure whether to go for the standard or lower height option.

Is there anyone in Kent or SE London that has one that I can put on my bike and sit on for a couple of minutes.

Thanks

John

I recently got a low version. It's wider than the standard BMW seat so the low version offers no advantage in respect of getting your feet down. If anything, it makes it slightly more difficult than the standard seat. I've got slim legs - anyone with chubby thighs would find it more difficult. I'm planning on having the Sargent remodelled to make it a bit slimmer.

I got one as well (lowered version) and found it more uncomfortable than the standard on for the reasons stated by Schtum. It could well be available for purchase at a discounted price if anyone is interested....I've only used it for a couple of hundred miles.

I'm going to take mine along with the standard seat through to House of Custom in Clydebank to have the nose remodelled to the same width as standard. Stuart, the seat guy there does really nice work. http://www.area51customcycles.co.uk

Had a Sargent seat on my 2007 GS and it made a big difference. With my LC, I find the stock seat much more comfortable and no need for the Sargent :thumb2
