R1200GS LC 2014
I bought this bike from Brodie13 of this parish last year, with the intention of doing a tour I’d always promised myself since C19 put paid to my big 50 tour. Unfortunately life has thrown me a curveball in my partner getting very ill, and requiring a long hard period of treatment. I’m not going to be touring any time, she probably won’t pillion again so we’re looking to get a nice convertible for sunny Sunday outings and the odd road trip together while we still can. I'd be keeping the GS if I could.
So this is up for grabs and it’s possibly the cheapest sorted LC you’ll find.
Why? Because it has done nearly 100k - just shy of 98k now. But as you know, well maintained and looked after that’s no issue - and in many ways you’d be hard put to guess the mileage - there are only a few telltale signs.
Overall condition is good, with very little corrosion. Mechanically it’s sorted - has had the shaft recall done and the ESA was overhauled by Lukas at TTech not long ago. Gearbox is smooth, and it pulls very well. Just flown through the MOT a month or so back. There's some service history with the bike which has an interesting past.
It has wider footpegs, a Touratech side stand foot and top plate, aftermarket screen (original included) and OEM GSA pannier rails, along with a BMW waterproof rear bag.
I’ve put new boots on it (Dunlop Mutants) and nothing else. It rides really well, doesn’t use any oil, everything works as it should.
I have, should a prospective buyer want them, Bumot Extremada panniers and inserts in as new condition and a Hex EZCan.
With all the above I’m asking £4200.
Bike alone £3750 (I paid £3500 for it, and the Mutants were £370). No haggling at this price please.
Located in Street, Somerset. Pics to follow but you can find them on this thread here along with a few more details.
