It'll go straight to the article but you can watch all of it from the beginning if you want.

This is what a 138mph overtake must look like when The Stick is riding behind you :cool:

Hmmmm. 33 minutes being lectured to by a septic wearing an alice band.....2 minutes and I was nodding off

The boredom set in after 15 seconds for me, so kudos for watching for 2 minutes. :thumb

What a load of rubbish that surf dude middle aged headband wearing plonker talks. Anyone who's owned or ridden both bikes will laugh at what he's said about the comparison on track with the S1000R. Psuedo scientific guff. I loved his "mass times velocity equals force...." LOL. What school did he go to? Force = pressure/area, energy = MV2/2...couldn't be bothered listening after that. Good cure for insomnia if it wasn't for the accent.

So where did he get the GSA with 21 inch front wheel that he keeps going on about? Could have sworn that my GS had a 19 inch front, and that the GSA does too!

I like taking silly bikes like the GS on track as its great fun and I can't resist smoking racebikes on the road with a big smile but basically he's saying the majority of GS riders are very slow on track and can't ride a racebike properly. Its true that on inconsistent surfaces a more upright bike such as a GS or better still a Supermoto are easier to ride fast but you're not going to bother taking a racebike on a rubbish surface anyway?

I posted it on another thread but it's a good comparison; here's me on the GS a couple weekends back at the Nordschliefe:

And here's this weekend just gone on my S1000RR. No comparison!:

Is it me or are the speeds higher on the gs ..oh top box and jeans , not really trying , other bike I presume no top box , leathers and different track , great video tho :thumb2:thumb2:bow
Also like it had been said so many times before , the track is a sterile environment improved by small adjustments , sticky tyres etc etc, real world different story:augie:thumby:
Footnote : a true comparison would be to ride as fast / commitment as the 1000 as the rr in full leathers was pushed , the gs was not as if you would you would wear leathers . The tyres on the gs would in track conditions deteriorate fast as they are touring compound not fast sports . The gs if pushed really hard would have suffered tyre fade as the heat would have been to much . Good try tho .
