R1200lc oil leak cam cover?

Noticed a bit of a leak after parking up a while on the side stand, is it possible to re torque the cam cover bolts, or is it a case of drop oil & strip clean/replace?
Thanks!

Have the cam covers been off recently?
Mine had what appeared to be a small amount of oil underneath when i did the valves but it soon dried up after giving them a wipe over, was probably just residue after removal.
You won`t need to drop the oil, a small amount will come out that has gathered in the cover, maybe a tablespoon or so. If you lean the bike over to the right you may even get no drips out at all as this oil will flow back into the engine.
The torque spec for the bolts are 10Nm but don`t be tempted to go higher as they have a shoulder/flange on them and may snap! You do them up until the shoulder is snug and that`s it.
If a clean and reseat of the gasket does not fix it you may have to renew them - the kit includes the plug well gasket too and will be about £50!

Yes be careful, a mate overtightened his, and the bill was a tad scary!

Sometimes the rubber bushings on the T50 tie-down bolts leak if overtightened or undertightened or just plain worn out from repeated removal replacement.
Quite annoying as I believe here in the colonies one has to purchace the entire bolt to get the rubber bushing
