Thinking of a new screen to replace the stock one for my camhead RT. Quite fancy the CalSci one but can't find anyone that has one on a camhead which I think has a slightly different screen mount than the pre-2010 RT's. Even the CalSci web site only shows pics on the pre-2010 bike although they say it will fit both pre and post 2010 bikes.
The 2010 screen mount has 2 big holes in it right where the cut out is on the CalSci screen. I also have a GPS mounted above the speedo (BMW mount) which looks to me as though it would be right in the air stream so could possibly create a lot of wind noise.

Anybody got any thoughts?

I have a CalSci screen on my 2012 model RT

It's definitely an improvement on the (pretty good) stock screen, although it doesn't fit as nicely.

If you are interested I have an Aeroflow tall screen for the RT. I am 6'3" and tall in the body and the difference compared to the standard screen was night and day. Much quieter and better protection for both rider and passenger.

This is what it looks like. It's not pretty but it is effective and it had no impact on MPG.

Sven, thanks for the pic. First Calsci I've seen on a 2010+. Do you get much wind noise or turbulence through the hole in the screen and the 2 in the screen mount? My thought was that wind would blast straight thru, hit the GPS above the speedo and either smack you full in the face or make a helluva racket.
I'd heard about the fit problem that you need to sorta bend it to fit the mounts preferably doing it while in an oven or sauna:D

Thanks for that but although I've heard they're good I'm just not sure I like the shape for the RT.
I know that makes me guilty of going for form over function.
Not sure what SWMBO would make of that statement:D

RT screen

I bought this for my 2010 DOHC:

It was a bit of a gamble as this screen Wunderlich “Speedster” Sports Screen - BMW R1200 RT (05-09) is not listed for the DOHC 2010-on models. I called Wunderlich & they said it wouldn't fit. Unconvinced, I bought it and it fits perfectly.
This is a lower than standard BMW screen, and suits me perfectly. With the lower BMW Comfort one-piece seat fitted, the standard screen was too high for me. It has transformed the bike.
Might not suit taller riders though; I'm 5' 8".
