Hi, ive just bought my gsa 1250 2021.

I'm not amused that the central rear light is only the brake light & not de running light.

Can somebody give me advice how to change?

Greetings Robin

Sell it and buy a 2020 model?

As I've said elsewhere, I think it's a good design. With the rear clusters as running lights, there's more 'real estate' in terms of width, and when you brake there's now a clear difference between a single running light and brake lights. Have a think on it!

I have Hex EzCan and Denali "Brake Light" connected to it. I've chosen 10% of intensity to run as running light and 100% to actuate as brake light. That is the option if you don't want to touch bike's harness and splice into it.
The other option is to purchase Denali "Brake Light" only. It exists in few sizes and mounting options. The light itself has one negative and two positive wires. One positive is for splicing into the positive of rear running light and it's low intensity and the other positive wire is for splicing into the positive of brake light for full intensity for braking if you wish. I think that may be a good starting point for what you want.

I put a B6 brake light on the bottom of my number plate and set it at 10% running and 100% activated with the ‘California legal flash’ activated.

I was also thinking of "California Legal Flash" but gave up because I'm not sure how would police react one day. I have no idea if it's legal in EU.

Think it’s already set for emergency stops on your bike.

No, I connected Denali brake light to Hex EzCan module. You can purchase Hex EzCan or Denali CanSmart. They are the same module with different names. That module connects to the bike and from there gives you variety of options to connect Aux lights, High beam Lights, Brake Light, Accessories etc and all is controlled by bike's already existing switches. No cutting into original bike's cables.
I didn't touch original tail light.
