Perhaps actually tried one after 3 months of daily keyboard rants and realised he was talking complete shite, so slipped away quietly…..Boxerknob is very quiet……. ( thank feck)

Shhhhhhh!Boxerknob is very quiet……. ( thank feck)
Re watched it again , the last few comments about the V4 s being a Giddy bike , I would disagree as after 3 , they were fast but exhausting as its a battle all the time to keep smooth and fast at the same time , ballistic yes but more of a quick blast than all day speed , its a big difference compared to the Gs (both the1250 and the 1300) as you can just keep going , fast , all day. I used to get back after 300 miles and was knackered as wrestling the V4 all day , the Gs , easy and as fast ( well unless you look at test tracks ) and could go again. The 1300 wheelies as easy as the V4 for the record.

No , just making a comment on the statement made in the Vid , plus I have owned 3 V4s so my comment is justified. The wheelie thing is personal , but many say its docile compared to the competition , it is not , I know. You’re turning slowly into Boxerlust .
For the record , I’d say 99% of tossers have zero interest how the V4 and 1300 compare in hoisting a minger![]()

I forget which UK mag - but their review was an utter joke...No , the 1300 is just better than the 1250 simple as that . I would not go back to the 1250 now as it’s not as good and dated in a nice way . The platform had moved on .
If the 1300 has plugged a leak of needs for the more adventurous rider .
its better but its worse, its so much safer, the steering is better you can feel the front and there's much more control - but it feels dangerous
its so powerful - you wonder if its safe
was once engaged to a girl a bit like that.....All of this talk of sportiness makes me want an Italian mistress, dressed in red and black that pushes to 180bhp but runs out of juice quick so I don’t get too tired out.![]()
Service bill too high?was once engaged to a girl a bit like that.....

Did a longer 400 plus run on Sunday , all minor roads and the bike just shined . It was awesome , and it just gets better and better every time I go out on it and push it harder . The bike responds with clever intuition in situations that would have unsettled the 1250 , not in a bad way , but the 1300 deals better . Better suspension , better handling with the movement of the weight around the chassis , the additional feel from the front end , more usable power , loads of pluses its a long list . Simply put , its just better .
If I had to choose from a line up of bikes the 1300 followed buy the V4s then the 1250 and last the Ktm. This list is made purely on the back roads of Wales and the mountains of Spain , France and Italy. I have jet to take the 1300 to Europe but would bet my pension its better a lot better and will split my cheeks with a grin you could park a bike in.
I have been offered the new XR 1000 for a day by my dealer but its just a one trick pony , I will give it a go as having a new rear calliper fitted , but its an A road missile , not a road munching fast road bike . Tried them before and as much as they made you go fook me , it was just that , nothing more. No passenger ability , no luggage and just OTT. Would track it as due to injury that stops sports bike riding it would fit the bill well with its more upright position for me , good fun.
I know , but its not my type of bike for where I ride as its OTT . I did test ride the XR a few years back and just could not jell with it , viby , revvy and I dont know , just not nice. It’s only the M1000 XR that has no luggage options . You can fit panniers to the other normal XRs
Not true, only the standard has that weight. Everything is striped down: "Most of the things I wanted changed from the previous model were addressed. Being smaller and lighter, for a start, is a massive move in the right direction. It’s down a whopping 12kg over the last model and sits at 237kg fully fuelled."then I read a review in an Ozzy mag that made sense - a stark contrast - clearly the guy in Oz knew what a motorbike was and has held a license for more than 3 minutes unlike the gen z prat lying in UK magazines
We shouldn’t be surprised the 1300 is a little bit better than the 1250 in everything. How long has it been in development for with prototypes seen in the wild for at least 2 years? My mates new 1300 was parked up to my 1250, and my 1250 looked like the Millenium Falcon in comparison… aged, but you knew it could do Warp9 if needed.
I’d like a 1300 - in due course - but my 1250 is still brilliant, not high mileage, and I haven’t heard anything that says the 1300 is worth £10k cost to change over a lowish mile 1250. But I do like that the 1300 is slightly smaller - my only criticism of the 1250 is that it feels 10% too big.
