Hi all,

Looking for some advice .

Have a 1981 R65LS, but unfortunately my good lady wife is finding it increasingly hard to use the bike as the weight on her wrists with the café style handlebars are proving too much.

I need to change these for more adventure / chopper style ones.

The bike does a full fairing, so am aware some issues there.

How much work is involved in this and any idea of cost anyone ?

Andy

I've just put higher bars on my R65 and the problem you may have is with the length of cables and wiring. It is much easier with R80 & 100s as these were produced with higher bars such as the RT models so the longer cables are easy to obtain.

Take some photos of your switchgear and post it up here.

You probably don't want bars that are too high, just a few inches rise will do.

Let me know as I have a few sets of bars, cables and wiring available.:)

Cheers

Sid
