Well I for one!
I know there are those that just flit from the latest shiny must have toy to the next, but for many of us heritage and history mean an awful lot.
And an R7 is and always will be homologation exotica ridden by Noriyka Haga in a golden age of WSB, when Twins had an unfair advantage.
To stick a low powered twin in a Yamaha and call it an R7 is blasphemy.
Arsey talks of target audience, yet the bike has a quarter of a century name with a half century paint job.
I think they have found their target audience, and most are in their 4th quarter, struggling a bit.
Imagine Honda making a Castrol liveried bike with a single sided swingarm. Putting in a commuter parallel twin and calling it an RC30 - Ridiculous!
I'm all for the bike, I have dropped 300cc and 20HP to a parallel twin myself.
I think it looks great, and priced well.
But I think the name sucks.
