I had a para lever but now in my 70s I find them that much heavier… that’s being honest ..where as the r80 mono is the lightest for me?.. the Ducati’s ride lovely but you’re over the tank unless you’re doing 70+ to take the weight off you it’s not much fun round town streetfighter would be a better bet where you’re more upright.. I’d love to have an opportunity to ride one of the old Vincent’s for sure.. my old dunked blue has been my go to bike all weather one it’s up around 160,000 K now that’s been halfway round the world and back mostly by previous owner… I bought it because of the registration Nan996x my grandmother mostly brought me up and the last Ducati I had was a 996 so sentiment for me..
.. it was unrecognisable compared to what it is today.. 1of my restos ..my God it had done some travelling one trip alone tip of Alaska down to the bottom of Panama in 18 months. David used it for what it was built for.. he had different forks, different tank bars and luggage system.. it had at one time a recon engine and gearbox by Jim Cray.. dual plugged. I fitted a wedge unit but it would never run right. I’ve gone back to the original Been can runs sweet ..
