Hi, (gulp...venturing into unknown territory),
My mate has an R80 (I think that constitutes an air head:bow)

He had a spill on a roundabout, slow speed. Top and bottom of it, he bent the handlebars and smashed a rear indicator.

He wants me to fix it for him, and may be putting it up for sale should anyone be interested in near future.

My first thoughts are,
1. "If I get a big scaffold tube, will I be able to sucessfully bend the bar(s) back into shape"
2. If not where is best to get bars (I guess motorworks or similar).
3. Is it likely that frame damage may have been caused on such a low speed fall? If so how to test for it?

All contributions welcome:bow

2). Secondhand Bars are not expensive

3). Usually not...presumably the Bike just slid along the ground

Good way to do a visual check on the frame after this sort of spill is to check the two small webs from the top tube to the headstock. they should not be kinked or bent at all.
