R80g/s rear drive oil change volume

Servicing a mates r80g/s with him.


Drained the rear drive oil out but unfortunately didn't measure how much came out.



Added new oil but it only took above 50cc before coming out of level hole (3) - I was expecting to have to add 350cc as specified in the manual?

yep - I was expecting to put 350ml in but only 50 went in despite draining the old oil out?

Where did you drain the oil from?

May sound a stupid question, but it should be from plug 1 on the diagram. Turn the back wheel a bit.

When refilling, put in 350ml or take out plug 3 and fill until it begins to drip out of there. Then it's full. (if you haven't a measuring jug with you)

If you were filling the unit with the level plug removed,chances are it’s running down the inside of the casing and straight out of the level plug.
Refit the level plug and put the 350ml in.
Be aware,the angle of the fd will effect the level a fair bit,so if it’s on its main stand with the suspension at full extension, the plug will be lower.
