G/S or GS

Easy way to tell at a distance..... rear wheel:

G/S: 3 bolts hold rear wheel on
GS : 4 bolts

and... G/S: bloody expensive now... GS, less so for a younger bike

Now I would dearly love a G/S at the right price, or even a GS. (to replace my 1991 GS...was ace bike....50k plus miles, n only problem was a flat battery....n that was MY fault)...n rear shock died at about 35k miles....

So GS (1989/90 preferably, cheap..... PLEEEASE)

Val.

When I bought my 1990 100GS three years ago it came with the Riders Handbook for an R80 G/S. It is in capitals but the S is printed at a lower level than the G.
I'm still trying to find a bike to match the Handbook...:(

i'd tell you what it says on the genuine workshop manual, only the one on ebay i bid a stupidly huge amount on went for considerably more :(

not that i'm bitter.

.

Really. I'd better dig out the chest with all my old workshop manuals in it. Should have two genuine GS workshop manuals and the update sheets. The ones with the blue hardbound ring binder covers.

Got a few toolkits as well, in the genuine tool rolls.
