R80GS Basic - what’s it worth?

Would it be more valuable as an 80GS and not had a 1000cc kit fitted ?

Are original bikes more desirable?

800 cc pistons are not available,unless you find new old stock.
If the nicasil bores are worn,the seibenrock kit is a good fix.
I can’t see any negative impact on the value.
As to finding an original unrestored,unfucked with example,hmmmmmmm,best of luck.
These bikes fetch big money in Europe and America.
The one I sold recently,to an inmate on here probably would have made 1/2 as much again if shipped abroad.

Ha, my basically not a basic might be up for sale when finished,
But it won’t be cheap as it’s basically a brand new bike.( see what I did)

You've seen my basic, its not quite so basic anymore either, but more basic than Mike's basic as it started as a basic
