Have just bought my first airhead-an r80st. Looks to be in good order and has been well maintained. However the front brake does appear rather weak compared to what I would call acceptable in today's traffic conditions. But I note Motorworks do a 320mm brake upgrade kit (BRA10390) . Has anyone tried one? Any good?

I did that rotor upgrade on my G/S, also fitted braided pipe and carbon ceramic pads. Sorted.

Didn't pay those prices tho, the kit is made in Germany from recollection, and there are a number of suppliers over there (Motoren Israel Boxxer parts etc etc etc) where it my be cheaper - puond is good against the Euro as well now so I would look to Europe to source

Ive gone for the EBC floating disc, EBC pads and a rebuilt, standard Brembo 2-piston calliper. Oh and taken 40kg off
the weight of the bike:D

That's probably not very helpful...

For me a 320mm disc with a 4 pot caliper and braided line is the go. Which reminds me I've got one in the shed to fit to my 100GS:blast

I went the same way as England Kev; preteck 6 piston caliper with EBC standard size disk......

works great IMHO.
(oh, and they are British, and very helpful.... I went to the factory in reading, and they couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful)
