R80st rear brake cam

Took the cam off and have checked realoem parts diagram. I am right that this extra rubber washer on the inside has no place being there cheers in advance.

Should be 4 x little o rings. Early ones only had two…. Then four, then a solid tube which connected two halves of the bevel box, negating the need for the o rings.

Made a shouldered sleeve to pull old tubes out.


Pulled new one piece tube into place.


(Hot air gun just to warm the casings nicely, and tube in the freezer for a while)

Also, shortened the level plug screw to make sure it didnot bottom out on the tube and distort it.

No problems since.
