R850R EXHAUST

Hi All,

It looks like me cat and end can are all one piece, what do I need to get to fit an after market silencer? Bike is a 96

Very funny, some 850s seems to have a seperate cat where mine is one piece. Do I have to buy a connector pipe?

All pre 1999 850 models have the one piece exhaust and collector box, same as the 1100 bikes.

Post 1999 850 bikes are completely different, they are the same as the 1150 models, nothing will fit from the pre 99 bikes onto the year 2000 bikes Do not confuse the two.

Thanks guys, do I just cut the cat at the muffler and fit the end can? Do I have to buy a link pipe, does anyone here have one for sale?

You need a link pipe and can. If your bike has a cat (AFAIK UK bikes of this age didn't) you need to remove the lambda sensor from your exhaust and screw it into the link pipe. If it doesn't have one you need to leave the blanking plug in the link pipe.

IMHO you're better off with the standard exhaust.

R850R exhaust system is the same as for the R850GS and R1100GS

Not really, I sold a y-piece and remus off an r850r to someone on here for their r110gs.
