Hi,
i got "nudged" (hit :rolleyes:) by another 'Bike on the way to work recently.
As far as i can tell she drove her Bike into my rear/left hand side.
My silencer got pushed in toward the wheel. :blast
So i would be grateful for a pic of yours - from the same angle as mine - to compare and see if mine needs "adjusting" ... with maybe a hammer. :augie
Here's mine and Thanks in advance!:beerjug:

Its will be the frame loop that the rear footpeg is mounted on

I have had to persuade a few over the years that have fallen off stands

Requirements are a 6 foot plus length of substantial scaffold pole

A strong tie down point for the upper frame rail so that the bike does not tip over when you apply force

and suitable padding for the inner side of the frame loop and the frame rail above it

And Sorry Og but someone of a substantial build who will not damage themselves by hauling substantially on said pole

Time to accomplish said Mission is approx 10 minutes including setting up the pads and tie down

Gatepost or Towing eye on car are suitable frame anchors

Oh and regarding the moving of the footpeg loop The pull is a sort of "jerk pull and check" rather than a continuous pull

I guess If you had someone with chain blocks or electric winch, you could also pull it from the same side and anchor to the other direction ??

Thank you!

Spangle,
Ta - i'll do that for a temp repair, til i find a scaffold pole.

Ant,
PERFECT pics! :okay That's very helpful - shows exactly what i needed to look at. Thank you. :thumb2

Dr F,
as ever - a comprehensive guide to fixing shtuff. ... and no offence taken at your "substantial build" comment - i'm built more on minimalist lines i am. :P ... not like some on here :augie

~~~
:duck:
Og a spacer will not work as it is mounted inside the frame rail
Also now noticing that you will need to remove a couple of screws to remove or at least get under that plastic side trim with your pole
