It's not easy to adjust on the move but I use a Nokia mobile phone, set to 'auto-answer'. This allows you to use the in-built radio or mp3 player through the autocom and if the phone rings it cuts out the radio, answers the call, then cuts back to the music when the other caller hangs up. You do not have to touch a button.

I currently use my Zen micro mp3 player which has a built in fm radio. I set the channel and volume and them put it in a HG handlebar bag strapped to the screen bracket on my 12. This does mean I cant change it on the move. The other problem is interference and staying on station as you travel.

What you need is a waterproof, 12v, FM radio with RDS, a decent antenna, headphones output and a handlebar mount.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, no one makes one. :(

Its a great shame because I'm sure there would be a big market from all the autocom owners out there. I'd certainly buy one.

Maybe if someone from autocom is reading this, or some other electronics firm, they might take the hint. :thumb

Not being as effluent (sic) as most of you guys out there  I use a free standing Sony walkman Fm radio, it does suffer from crackling as the suppression on the 1150GS is not that good.
What are DAB radios like for reception? As it is radio 2 comes and goes depending on where I am at the time.

this is what i use

not fully weather proof but quite easy to use even on move.
mine came with a small plastic / silicone type holder with a clip on the back that is easily cable tied to the bars and allows the unit to be removed quickly without hassle but secure when on the move.

found this to show holder the grey band is seperate
