I am looking for one of these so Can I canvass opinions please?

We have the Crymarc of this Parish tough and ready.

Twalcomm raid box

GS Emotions which I am leaning towards.

Others ?

I remember reading somewhere ( not on here) but cannot find it that one of these or perhaps another brand used to bottom out wheel or huggers/guards.

That made me go out and check mine - the one I made with so much care taken with clearances etc................

I have the GS Emotions one with Illmberger carbon hugger and no problems with std height GSA. Before buying I asked about the hugger and the guy who makes them said he also had the same set up.

Just to remind you all that Rugged Roads sell the Modeltek 'Raidbox' (this is where Twalcom buy them from as well) at a VERY competitive price :thumb

Modeltek Raidbox - £98.00

Available to buy online - or if you want doughnuts with it, grab one from Gary/Jonno at Adventure Bike Warehouse. :D

i have the Cymarc one........ and its quality. no problems. it has'nt fouled anything with passenger on board. it does mention in the fitting instructions that it may catch the plastic "mudgaurd spur". maybe i'm biased but i think it looks the nicest and because it opens from the side boasts better security with a pannier fitted.

Couple of pics from my Hooton tool box...fits like a glove, no rubbing, catching, chafing and survived a few dropsie's too...

That last pic really shows how the exhaust could be sat closer to the wheel or better a bit lower down. It can't be "that" vulnerable can it? Im not trying to be provocative just wanting to know why fashion seems to be more important than practicality. it's a German bike after all!
