I'm dropping the GSA off for as service at Rainbow on Saturday 26th September & picking up a K16 whilst she's in.
I have the K for 4 hours from noon so am thinking of heading out to Grindleford station cafe for a brew via a pootle around the Peak District (assuming I can connect my Nav V to the K16).

Anyone likely to be about?

Micky, I can you bring you that back protector that I won at Dent if you're around on the day. Unfortunately it wont fit my jacket so I thought you could maybe offer it up as a prize at next year's Dent do. :D*

*Edit (on condition I get the 'heads up' in advance so I can book one of the nice, warm, dry rooms). :augie

If Im available I could pop along and give you safe passage around the back of Rotherum to the Peaks.

Micky is up in Scotland touring the Isles in his camper with 'Miss Millie' at the moment. Not sure if he will be back by then, he was planning to stay up there until the end of the month.

Very commendable of you Sir :thumb

As Bilko says, I'm away and so will miss the opportunity of buying you lunch somewhere :blast

Just hooked up to WiFi in the friendly Ferry Boat Inn at Ullapool, before heading further north and then on to Orkney :thumb

Enjoy your 'test ride' :thumb

Cheers Malc (Bilko) :thumb

No worries Michael. Hopefully there will be plenty of further opportunities for me to drop it off in the near future.
Enjoy the rest of your trip, I'm very jealous.

Is there such a thing as safe passage through Rotherham. And did you ring me by mistake again yesterday?

I have a rare Saturday off work on 26th, but I'm waiting to find out if my day off is being cancelled. So I might be around. I don't rate Grindleford cafe though, food is shite.

Its the whole package innit......full english, mug of tea, sat outside surrounded by trees, birdsong in abundance, hills in background and a grandstand view whilst you eat, of big fekk off trains entering and exiting Totley Tunnel. It dunt get any better than this....for me, I fekkin love trains me.:drool

Yes, there is a safe passage west out of Rotherham ( dunno about east though because next stop is fekkin Doncaster:eek:) Safe way out is up through Rawmish ( spelled as Rawmarsh but they talk as funny as fook over there) then Wentworth and over the backs of Grenoside or out Holmfirth way.

.....and yes, momentarily rang you yesterday evening. Well not me but my Sena. Voicedial thinks I talk funny too as I asked her to dial a "Steve Ramsay" but as quick as a shot the daft bint said "calling Steve The Bear"

"No, no, no" shouts I, but alas she wasnt listening and too busy punching ya number in. Which is when I turned my Sena off.

Sozz (again:D)

Well it would certainly be very good to see you both.
Fingers crossed innit.
As it would appear to be just the 3 of we I may even buy you a brew. And 2 straws.

As expected I now have to work that day. I get roughly one weekend off every 2 months, and then work go and snatch it away from me. Bastids!
