Rainbow motorcycles, Rotherham.

Maybe things are changing.
Having just part ex'd my RT there they told me after the deal was done that the hard wired intercom and Nav III were of no value to them and suggested that if I'd like to take them off the bike before I brought it back that would be fine.
In the end they even took them off the RT, bagged them up and gave them back to me to sell.
I've actually passed them on to other members of this parish who can make use of them.

The only bloke who was a bit off with me, or seemed that way, was the parts bloke, when I asked them to change the top box when I picked up the new bike. Having said that he did change it, though he appeared to think I was making a fuss over nothing.

I just bought a 650GS from Rainbow, Josh the sales guy was really helpful. I hope they will be as good come service and (heaven forbid) warranty stuff.

Had my bike serviced with them all ok until they charged me for a headlight bulb I asked why they said it had gone, it as fine when I dropped it off and even my mate who I followed all the way to the dealers said it was working when I was behind him. They charged £17 for a bulb when questioned they showed me a blown bulb and said it was from my bike but no way of proving either way now as they has changed it.

On the way home I remembered I had a bulb kit in my top box I wish I had remembered I would have said take it out. When a dealer does extra work without talking to the owner even though the owner was on site for the last hour of the service its wrong. I know its only £17 but times that buy a few customers a week its a nice earner left me feeling ripped off and I don't think they will be doing the next service.

From personal experience I don't think they are that kind of dealer, it would have been nice to have been informed prior to the bulb been changed but I would have been more annoyed if I had got there and the bike was ready, but by the way your bulb needs replacing and we don't have time to swap it now.

Just had the GSA serviced there. Really friendly and helpful, a phone call to confirm gearbox oil change and a good price. Free courtesy bike with no mileage limits, I'd recommend them anytime.

No offence to Josh but are you serious???
:confused::confused:

Certainly am. I did the deal to buy the bike with a young whippersnapper who has subsequently moved on to Jaguar cars (he actually left the day I did the deal).
Dealt with Josh every step of the way after that & he was superb, couldn't have been more helpful.

He did mention that he was a trials rider & anyone who can do that properly earns extra brownie points in my book as well.

That was Oliver

Oliver that was the young chappie.

He had a most unusual Sales technique, one I didn't warm to at first & it possibly cost him a sale a couple of years ago when I upgraded my 05 RT.

He adopted the same style this year but once I'd got over the initial hurdle he was also excellent to deal with.

I currently drive a Jaguar & when I'm ready to change that will pop along to see him to see if we can come to some arrangement on an XF estate.

The older chap, Ian?, has always been very warm & welcoming whenever I've been into Rainbow.
