raising handle bars

I would like to raise the handle bars on my paralever GS.

Would 3cm risers be OK with the standard cables ?

Any observations appreciated.

There are good quality raisers on Ebay for a reasonable $45- that raise the bars 2" and back 1".

I just put a set on my R75/7 and they fitted fine with the stock cables and a S type faring.

You may run into some clearance issues with a windshield if you use a set of risers. Front brake res may not clear the shield, causing a loss in turning radius. This is a problem with the larger parabellum type shield more than the short stock one. I had to cut out a section on the right side of the shield I use to allow clearance for the brake res. If you are running the stock handguards on the bars, this can magnify the issue.

Hi
I raised mine 30mm no problems with cables but had to reposition some of the tywraps on the wiring so i could get full lock both sides without stressing the wiring .
