Hi ,

Hope someone can answer this for me. I have a 1250GS with the standard seat. I’m looking to buy a Low Rallye seat. Will the Low Rallye seat be lower than the standard seat on a 1250GS ?

Thank you.I am ridding a Rallye TE with standard 2pc seat. I want to buy the Low Rallye seat. I like the look and can do with a touch lower seat height.

Yes i have that set up on my te and as said slightly lower and more comfy.

Careful, it is not lower, it has to be set at the ‘high’ position not the low setting, it does feel lower because it is narrower and therefore your legs are not as splayed out, I love mine but I am 5’11”. For long distance travels I do put the comfort seat on as the Rallye seat feels harder. IMHO Rallye seat looks better!

See if you can try before you buy, ie borrow one.
I put a standard height one piece Rallye seat on my gsa and had to get it altered with extra padding as I was constantly sliding forward into the nose of the tank

Are we talking low compared to the standard or the low version of the Rallye seat?

Post above looks standard Rallye - I really enjoy the seat on my 1350 and had it on my previous bike too, but would like to try a low version if it’s a thing.

That is the low rallye seat. I've had both and quite a bit of difference.

The low version of the Rallye seat. I have the 2 piece standard height seat on my 1250GS, I want to buy the Low version Rallye seat. Just wondering if the low Rallye seat version will be a touch lower than the normal height 2 piece seat. I agree with the bike looks much better with the Rallye seat.

Good idea, Vines Motorrad in Guildford will let me try one before I buy. Thank you

Got it. I can't imagine a much lower version, as it's not a big seat anyway, but with reports is is comfier, I assume people are referring to comfier than the standard supplied seat, as opposed to comfier than the normal rallye seat.

Will look into it, as I'm a short @rse and any lower would be useful.

for reference. this is standard height rally seat set in the recommended mounting position.

The seat fits with the configuration of the front mount in high and the rear mount in low. Previously I have had it fit with the front mounts in low and removed the rubber cushions of the rear mount to make the seat sit lower. Worked fine but I did find myself sliding forward.

Great , thank you. Nice looking bike.

The Rallye low is new then a suit certainly wasn’t an option last year.
The Rallye is lower than the standard/pillion anyway and you’ll struggle to get it on the low setting so doubt you’ll need the even lower one..
