rallye pro are they worth the money

I almost bought a Rallye 2 Pro last week but in the end went for a Rev'it Cayenne Pro.

Decision was partly swayed by wanting to be different to the rest of the "crowd" and also the fit of the trousers was just right. The other big factor was the £170 price saving!:thumb

and when used off road its not a twat suit......its cool

Dave you and I need to face facts - It's a TWAT suit even when we use them offroad - Pictures never lie

Maybe after a couple of 1000 kms of Alto Turia that will change but for now, no - esspecially if you wash it after every ride:-)

For a suit thats so shite why are most other manufacturers copying it or putting something very similair in there ranges
With a bmw wind proof underjacket and ski trousers Ive worn mine right through the winter.
Bought mine because it fitted and was comfortable, and it worked really well in Wales offroad.
Could'nt give a fcuk what other knob heads think of it:nenau

Just bought one as my Santiago was on its last legs before a trip through Slovakia and now it;s totally knackered. I've also had a Savannah. So far very pleased with the Rallye and as the Goretex is included and it is an extra on the Santiago it was actually cheaper.

There have been comments that the Goretex lining means a soggy jacket. I found this out on my other jackets and always find it better to use a waterproof oversuit and use the Goretex as an extra insulation layer and to keep the unexpected shower out. In any case Goretex does not work as an outer layer as its breathability relied on sweat being vapour. It the Goretex is outside and away from body heat but near cold wind its not much good.

The trick is not to expect too much. In our normal day to day wear we wear different things when it's hot, cold, wet or dry so why expect a bike jacket to do it all. My Santiago has been good but it needed a heated vest in mid winter and it did not stop me sweating on the odd hot day in Europe.

TWAT suit? When you are not the inside, warm, dry, comfortable and protected by some really imprssive armour, who is the TWAT. You or the other guy on the outside.

My tuppence worth. I dont have a twat suit, not because I don't want to look like the twat but just because it don't fit, I tried and tried but it just is too small even in the biggest size.

I will say here I will NEVER buy a +300 jacket again UNLESS it has a removable waterproof liner, having had a jacket that is now unusable as it leaks, all for lack of being able to replace the waterproof lining !!

Replacements can be bought for Rallye 2 but cost about £100.00. Although I have thrown away my Santiago I have kept the lining as a spare as they are the same.

Realistically though I only use the liner for showers as I don't want a soaking jacket that takes hours to dry. A £50 oversuit is far more useful than a waterproof liner.

Just come back from a cross Europe camping trip in horrible weather. By using oversuits my wife and I still have dry jackets to wear when it stops.

That's the clincher......Big Nick, you've talked me into a Rallye Pro.
I might not be heading off to Zambezi but I was up in Cumbria/Northumberland on Tuesday, freezing me 'nads off and soaked through. Tw@ suit it is. Copulatum expensium. :)

I have the blue one - I love it I have to say. They're really well made and they will keep you warm when its cold. I had a series of other jackets before the old twat suit and they were nowhere near as good.

The armour in the twat suit is also good - there is a post on here from a guy who had an off on his 1200 and was wearing a Rallye 2 suit at the time - he is convinced without it he would have been in a far worse state.

Get one - don't hesitate. :bounce1
