Not so much technical, but it is I guess. Decide for yourself below.
I've got a RAM Aqua box mounted with a migsel speedo collar. Problem I am having is that I am getting quite a bit of glare from the clear rubber cover. So much so that I can't see my sat nav directions. Which is a bit annoying.
I have put together a hood which covers the top and sides of the box by about 4 inches so I would imagine that that is fairly well catered for.
The problem is that the rubber matterial is quite shiney and its not perfectly flat. There are some lumps and bumps from where the material moves about (and tends to press the screen too!). Its not glare off anything on the bike, its just the 'rippled' surface that seems to cause the problem.
I could put some clear perspex on there to 'straighten it out', but I can't then press the screen.
I will try a all encompassing hood which will cover the bottom of the device too, but its all starting to look like a world war II submarine sonar station!
Anyone come across this problem? Other than that the RAM kit is top notch.
