Posted here as I know you look here.

I want to add a camera mount onto the existing bracket I have for my Quest.

Is ther a "Y" piece and a camera base with the standard camera threaded screw that I could add to my clamp on the mirror stalk?

How about the suggestion that Steve posted here - using a bolt with a ball on it to provide a second mountpoint off the first one?

Kev, When I tried to mount my camera there I could never get pics in focus due to the vibes.

It is now (ram)mounted on the handlebars and gives much better, if not always perfect, results.

Ken, I can't see there being a differance in vibs at the point I've got my mount to on the bars. Wheres yours now mounted?

Did you get some pics on the Tossers tour I can see with your bar mount?

Kev - it is on the handlebars just next to the L. grip

here's one from Lithuania

Hi Kev ...

The RAM 'create a mount' in the forum was started to share these mount 'tweaks' so to try a RAM-B-273 as the others have said. You then need the arm RAM-B-201 (series) if you need height consider a RAM-B-201 or RAM-B-201-C then add the camera mount such as a RAM-B-202A (not got any at moment) or if its small unit like the dahoum cybershot , add a RAM-B-237.

Thanks for the info, I'll take a look at the items you mention today :thumb

Kev,

I recently helped Eddy802 with a camera mount. He had ball joint camera mount attached to the engine bars but wanted re-worked, so using a flex-arm configuration he could get different angle to vid from. If Eddy is not on his travels and reads this thread, then please post so pics so kev can see the 'tweaks'.

I am on my travels (Shanghai at the moment)but can't help myself having a "look-see" what's happening on the boards ;)

I wanted to extend the camera view out board and attached the flex arm of 12 inch that Ram-Man mentions, to a ball mount, unfortunately, no matter what setup I chose (engine bar or from the frame that drops to the pillion peg, the weight of my cameras caused "droop"!!!

Even supporting my bullet cam the arm eventually sagged, and whilst without vibration, but enough to cahnge angle beyond acceptable.

I sent that set up bcak I'm afraid, and am now considering a non-flexible rod, that will get it's positioning via the ball mounts.

Eddy
