A bit of an impulse buy has landed me with a clock at a bargain price, which is a lot like this one...
I like the clock face and mechanism, but the main problem is that the wife doesn't like the wood - it's meant to be Yew, but has a 1980's beech colour to it. It's also too large to just put up to see if she gets used to it, so I'm considering options...
Option 1: Sell it on.
Option 2: Re-colour the wood - i.e. paint it... black probably.
Option 3: Take the mechanism and remount it onto something else - perspex? Aluminium? This could be cool, but it would need to be done well and thought through properly...
Any offers of help? Any other suggestions?!!
