As some of you might already know, 12 of us have purchased a cask of Cragganmore whisky which was bottled as a 12 year old just last week.
The whisky is now called NAKAMBALE Cragganmore and is a single cask single malt cask strength which was bottled at 58.4%. I've tasted it and it's a beautifully smooth dram. If you like whisky, you'll know that cask strengths should be taken with a good dash of water so that it doesn't burn your throat and make your eyes sting. This whisky genuinely does neither taken neat. That said, adding water might allow you to see bit more of your evening, given the strength of it
We have spare bottle which is now up for auction. The bidding will start at £25.00 andf if it goes above £50, I'll throw in a free NAKAMBALE Tshirt which is another rare item being available to the select few whisky syndicate members attending the christening of our whisky at the Nakambale Swallie on 12th November.
The money from the winning bid will be paid into Gert's (Nakambale) Just Giving account
It would be easier for me if the winning bid could pick the whisky up but I'm happy to post it out. I've no idea what PnP would cost TBH but that would need to be taken into consideration if you can't pick the bottle up. Postage would require to be paid seperately to me.
The auction will close at 19.30 on Tuesday 08.11.11. The bottle is also being auctioned on another forum that Gert enjoyed and the winning bid will be the highest bid. I'll keep updates. Wully, Bhud and AndyT (UKGSer and whisky syndicate members) frequent both forums and will witness and vouch for fairness.
Thanks in advance
Ronno
