I am going to replace my rear brake caliper. my question is, if i manage to change the brake pipe over without to much brake fluid escaping can i get away with bleeding the rear brake the same as with any other brake system or with this being a BMW is it a ball ache and best left into a dealer. thanks in advance for any help

you will have to remove the fuel tank to top up the resevoir on the servo unit as you bleed the new caliper .on the top of the servo you will see two plastic caps with an 8mm hex ,use an allen key to remove them and top up the fluid as you bleed the system, while you are at it it would be worthwhile changing the fluid front and rear as it has probably never been changed.mike
