Rear Brake Capliper Bleed Nipple

A friend of mine tried to undo the bleed nipple on his 1150GS rear brake caliper and the nipple snapped off. Should he presume that because he used an 8mm spanner to undo it that the nipple is an 8mm one?

Let me know your thoughts and I will pass them onto him .

If its snapped off don't try to remove it - chances are high that you'll bugger up the caliper. Fit a banjo bolt with a bleeder instead.

On that link there is part no SSA00475 one of them plus the 6 mm nipple

Get a stainless bleed nipple and nipple holder from motorworks or motorbins, end of problem forever. .

BMW sell the nipple but not the holder And you'll more than likely damage the thread in the nipple holder if you try and drill it out. BMW will then try and sell you a new rear caliper. Yes, really

I, sorry, my friend, will go down the full SS route.
Are the bleed nipples the same size on the front BMW badged calipers?

Just ordered SS ones from Shaws.
