so it appears my 08 gsa needs another rear disc,in the 14 months ive had it 2 new discs were fitted under warrenty, the last one just weeks before the warrenty ran out.now that disc is pulsing like mad.
i took out the extended warrenty and as you may know discs arnt covered, but my thinking is the discs arnt faulty and something else is faulty maybe disc carrier etc.
so what are my chances of getting this sorted properly under the insured warrenty given the previous history of mis diagnoses?
wasent able to book my bike in to vines today as computers down for 2 days,so have to phone on thurs.
i dont think this will be easy and my previously very good relations with vines may be tested.
any one had a similar prob,if so what outcome?

I had 3 sets of front discs replaced in 20,000 miles on my 05 GS. The last time the front wheel was replaced as well. No problems since (well nt with the discs).

I would be making as much of a fuss as I could. Tell them that for discs to warp in the mileage they have that there must be an underlying problem and you want it sorted. In my opinion its still a warranty issue as its something they didn't fix properly when it was in warranty.

If you get no luck try a different dealer.

I had bad pulsing with my brakes - I found I'd a sticky piston. A can of brake cleaner and a good go with a toothbrush and soapy water cured it!

It's probabaly not that, but for £5 and an hour of your time, it's worth a squirt, so to speak?

i wish it was that simple i have through the winter(i use bike every day)taken calipers off every now and then and cleaned up pads and pistons etc.

its obviously an underlying prob and in the past the dealers have obviosly only been treating the symptom not the cause, lets see what transpires,it has to be disc carrier,or final drive, although the latter is checked for play regularly by myself.
