Hi all.
My brake light is stopping on. I have looked for the rear brake light switch but there does not seem to be one - any help appreciated.

Does it work on pressure in the system maybe?

Cheers all

Has the brake lever been over adjusted or the push rod a lock nut been messed with at any point? Can't see a switch listed anywhere? Does it have a spring that pulls on something? Does it need some adjustment? Scratching my head really...

Hi Orbit.
I did look at all of those.
These is no switch anywhere !
Thanks for trying.

I was expecting there would be a micro-switch hidden behind the brake pedal, but I can't see anything front or rear on late model bikes (Real OEM).

I guess it must be triggered via the ABS system, pressure sensitive?? Presumably you have a working speedo & no other warnings.

Probably a question for your dealer. Google throws up a recall for a brake light issue in the US, but I think this related to modulating the light during emergency braking.

Every day is a school day - keep us advised.

All braking functions are controlled by the Basic module (GM) control unit . No switches anywhere front included
