Rear brake line 1100

Friend of mine has just popped round to show me his new toy, an 1100gs, very nice it is too.

Whilst looking around it we noticed the rear brake line was quite taught when the bike was on its centre stand. We managed to gain a little slack by bending the wire guide loop a little. Does this loop normally sit upright or does it lay paralel to the frame loop.

Or is this a normal thing, when the bike is being ridden all is fine its just tight when on the centre stand.
