1200 GS - 2004 - 8000 miles - ABS version

Anyone have any thoughts on what might be causing my rear brake to remain on when levers are not being operated and switches seem fine ?

Have removed rear caliper and pads to confirm nothing seized however noted not able to press in both pistons - push one in , the other comes out.

Haven't heard of that problem, but don't be tempted to force them back in as you can fek either the servos or ABS pump apparently.

Are there any warning lights? Front lever clear of handguard?

Have you removed the caliper then found it siezed after re fitting it? When you push one piston it does the other come out and vice versa?
Are all the pins etc clean that the pads slide on?
If you put the caliper back on the disk, with the pads in, but not bolt it to the bike and pull the brakes does it clamp on then when you release the brakes are you able to pull it back off again easily?
Is the brake line to the back brake touching anything causing it to sit skew whiff and lock on? (that happened to me when I fitted a hugger)

Good luck

Had similar problem on my GSA at 600 miles, turned out one of the pads had snapped in two. Disc, pads amd caliper changed under warranty parts went back to Germany to be looked at.

Is it the brake or just the brake light that is on? I have had the problem with the brake light cooming on for no reason, it was fixed when I wrote the bike off and got a new one. No problems since but I'msure there is a better fix out there
