Wash it off using solvent and torque the bolts dry, aerosol brake cleaner ought to do nicely.

Spot on that man ...... dumb question.

Thing is;in a perfect world where there is no water to get into threads or other causes of bolts seizing in threads,a smear of grease etc seems like a good idea to help maintainability.
I read a similar thread on ADVrider a while back.Someone came up with a kind of "correction chart" for different bolt/thread sizes and even suggested that there would be differences due to the type of lubricant used.
The answer,i vaguely recall, was to use about 70% of the given torque.
You would need to do your own research and checking rather than taking anyones reply as gospel;but also bear in mind the accuracy of your torque wrench.

in the US you can also buy the "nut" at speedbleeder. nut + speedbleeder was $15 when I bought them last week. not ss, but who cares.

insert and bleed nipple

These are now listed on the website www.shawstainless.co.uk you can find them on the left hand side under the heading " stainless specials" more to follow.:thumb2

Just order one of those bleed nipple thingys from Shaws-stainless as mine has seized. First went to BMW and tried to get on but they are unable to order the complete inner and outer item as it's not shown on their parts list.
The guy in the shop tried to convince me that my bike had a non-standard fitting as it's not the same as on the fiche!! Amazing, even the mechanic thought there was something wrong with my bike!

I pointed out that 3 of their showroom bikes had the same part as mine and they looked rather embarassed but still couldn't offer a solution.

Crazy World
