The exact same thing happened to my mate’s R1250GS three times during his ownership from new in 2022. The dealership couldn’t stop it happening and they raised it with Motorrad who said yes there is an issue but you will have to pay. He fought it for months but eventually coughed up the £1100 for new parts although they didn’t charge him for labour! He part-exd his GS and bought a Suzuki a month ago. He said he’d had it with BMW.
